Introducing S/V Gypsy Fever! This well cared for 1974 Irwin 32.5 Center Cockpit was designed by the renowned Ted Irwin and built by Irwin Yacht & Marine Corp., once one of the largest producers of sailboats in the United States, located in St. Petersburg, Florida. The 32.5 Center Cockpit is particularly notable for its thick, solid fiberglass hull, which ensures durability, while its shoal-draft keel with a skeg-hung rudder allows for exceptional maneuverability in shallow waters. This feature makes it an excellent option for coastal gunk-holing and exploring the beautiful Caribbean waters.

S/V Gypsy Fever has a rich history, having been lived aboard and sailed extensively throughout the coastal waters of Florida before being acquired by the current owner in 2017. After completing a series of upgrades in Florida, this vessel journeyed down the coast, navigating through Mexico, Belize, and eventually Guatemala, where it has been cherished as a live-aboard since 2018. This vessel was imported and is now registered in Guatemala.

Below deck, the interior volume and 6.2 ft headroom surpass many competitors in the 32-foot class, offering a comfortable two-cabin living space that is perfect for extended trips or weekend getaways. The forward cabin features a generous double berth, accompanied by a hanging locker and ample storage with large drawers. Enjoy natural light and ventilation with a large opening hatch and multiple opening ports. The head is located to starboard and includes a marine toilet with shower capability. The large salon with plenty of seating is located across from the galley, which is well equipped with refrigeration, a propane stove, and a microwave/convection oven. Located beneath the large sink there is a water filtration system. There is a hot water tank installed and never used. The aft cabin is accessible via a walk-through to port and offers a cozy double berth with an extra settee across, an opening hatch, and ports for ventilation, accompanied by abundant storage options. This vessel is also equipped with two separate, well-functioning marine air conditioning units, ensuring comfort on hot days.

S/V Gypsy Fever is powered by a well-maintained diesel engine. The engine is run monthly and a new transmission was installed in 2019. Both sails are in like-new condition, and new stays and rigging were installed in 2019. A new teak bowsprit was installed in 2022. For navigation she has modern electronics, and power systems have been upgraded with a new inverter and a new battery charger. The vessel also has new house batteries, a new engine start battery, and solar panels to help keep the batteries charged.

On the exterior, S/V Gypsy Fever is solid with no soft spots on the decks. The bottom was professionally sand blasted with barrier coating and anti-fouling applied. The hatches received new plexiglass with solar vents. The cockpit is fully enclosed with screens to give you shelter from the weather, and there is a stout set of davits to help lift a dinghy and motor.

S/V Gypsy Fever is a solid, capable coastal cruiser. With all the hard work done, you can focus on enjoying the thrill of sailing. Don’t miss the chance to make this exceptional sailboat your own!
