Lagoon 440 Owner’s Version | Full Custom Refit 2026
This is no ordinary Lagoon 440—review the full refit and upgrades, and you’ll understand why she represents exceptional value.
This 2006 Lagoon 440 Owner’s Version underwent a full custom refit completed in 2026 by MVI Boat Composites.
The closest thing to buying a new boat from the factory.
Fully upgraded and modernized in 2026 with a brand-new lightweight composite interior, new electrical and plumbing systems, and new appliances throughout. The next owner will be the first to sleep in the new beds, relax on the new sofas, and use the new interior and appliances—almost everything you see, touch, and use onboard is brand new and unused.
What makes this Lagoon 440 different is its lightweight composite interior.
The original heavy factory furniture and molded shower and bathroom units were removed and replaced with custom lightweight composite and honeycomb construction, reducing the yacht’s weight by approximately 1.3 metric tons (2,866 lb) and significantly improving her speed and performance in both light and strong winds as well as under engine power.
The new interior is bonded and glassed into the hull structure, reducing unnecessary weight while creating a stronger, stiffer, and quieter boat. It is finished with real teak veneer for a warm, high-end appearance without the weight of traditional plywood construction.
Key structural areas were professionally reinforced using epoxy, marine composites, and vacuum processes. Main bulkhead reinforcement was completed, with bulkhead tabbing replaced from port to starboard using vacuum processes. Structural tabbing was upgraded and key Lagoon structural areas were reinforced. The result is a stronger and stiffer Lagoon 440, upgraded for serious offshore and blue-water cruising.
The sterns were professionally extended and structurally integrated into the original hulls, increasing the overall length to approximately 46 ft. The extensions provide a longer waterline for improved performance, additional flotation, and easier access to the water and dinghy. They are finished with original-style molded non-skid for a clean, factory appearance.
This Lagoon 440 combines a proven blue-water cruising platform with upgrades rarely found on the market: a lightweight composite interior, vacuum-processed structural reinforcement, integrated sugar scoop extensions, and extensively renewed onboard systems.
Ultimately, every aspect of this refit was designed to create a strong, reliable bluewater yacht capable of crossing oceans at an impressive 8–10 knots, covering approximately 200–240 nautical miles in 24 hours.
Extensive photo and video documentation of the complete refit and structural work is available upon request.
