S/V Drimorthiles is a Mazatlan, Mexico based 2016 Lagoon 450F For Sale By Broker. Responses to inquiries may come from a broker who is representing the owner as a fiduciary. This owner requires financial settlement only. No trades.
“Drimorthiles” is a 2016 Lagoon 450F, one of the most sought-after flybridge catamarans in its class, configured and upgraded for true long-range cruising. This is not a base model. It is a fully equipped, privately owned vessel that has been extensively upgraded and carefully maintained over five years of liveaboard use and offshore travel.
The flybridge design sets this boat apart. It delivers optimum visibility under sail, efficient access to all sail controls, and a second social space that remains connected to the cockpit below. Guests can relax on the flybridge lounge while sailing, or gather in the shaded aft cockpit with dining table, refrigeration, and grill. Forward, new trampolines and seating create another expansive outdoor living area.
Under sail, this boat performs! A full suite of brand-new Doyle performance sails and new running rigging removes one of the largest near-term ownership costs and ensures reliable handling across a wide wind range. Twin 57 hp Yanmar engines provide dependable power and maneuverability when needed.
Inside, the salon is bright and open, with panoramic windows and a seamless connection to the cockpit. The galley has been fully upgraded with made-to-order custom Corian countertops and new appliances, creating a space designed for real, everyday use at sea. The vessel is being offered fully provisioned, with equipment, tools, and household inventory already onboard.
The 4-cabin, 4-head layout offers true comfort and privacy for owners and guests. Each cabin has its own ensuite head and shower. Additional berths in the forepeaks and a convertible salon allow accommodation for up to 12. This layout supports both private use, extended cruising with family or guests, or even commercial use in a charter fleet, if desired.
What matters most is how this boat is equipped. Drimorthiles has been upgraded with modern navigation electronics, Starlink connectivity, new refrigeration systems, new AGM battery capacity, watermaker spares, safety equipment, and a long list of practical improvements throughout. This is a self-sufficient platform capable of extended time away from marinas.
She has logged over 12,000 miles cruising the Pacific coast of Mexico and the Sea of Cortez, enjoying consistent maintenance while remaining actively used by experienced owners. This is a proven boat, not a dockside project. She is offered turnkey, fully outfitted, and ready to depart immediately.
For buyers seeking a modern, capable, and fully equipped cruising catamaran without the delays and cost of refit, Drimorthiles represents a rare opportunity to step aboard and go.
From the owners:
We purchased Drimorthiles in 2021 in Ensenada, MX, with the goal of cruising her down the Mexican Riviera and into the Sea of Cortez. We spent an average of 7-8 months a year living on her and have traveled more than 12,000 miles from as far south as Zihuatenejo to as far north as Bahia Los Angeles in the Sea of Cortez. She is the perfect live-aboard with personal details given to comfort, convenience, safety, and navigation. Her home base in Marina Puerto Escondido near Loreto has been the perfect starting point for many adventures, finding solitude in small coves, or meeting up with cruising friends in larger anchorages. After fulfilling our cruising dream, it is time for us to plan our next life chapter and allow new owners to enjoy the beauty and comfort of Drimorthiles.
This vessel is located in beautiful Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico. Sailors in Mazatlán enjoy a vibrant nautical culture. Marina Mazatlán offers services and activities, with access to marine life (sea lions in winter/spring), fishing, sailing to Isla de Piedra , cruises, and the famous Malecón for sea walks.

Accommodations
- The 2016 Lagoon 450F is widely recognized for its bright, expansive interior and highly functional layout. This 4-cabin, 4-head configuration offers four queen-sized staterooms, each with a private ensuite, delivering true comfort and privacy for owners and guests. Additional accommodations are available via the convertible saloon table and crew berths in the forepeaks.
- Salon / Interior
- The interior is finished in Alpi Blond Oak cabinetry with durable laminate flooring, creating a clean, modern aesthetic that feels open and refined. Large vertical salon windows provide excellent sightlines and abundant natural light, while overhead hatches and opening ports ensure consistent ventilation throughout. Storage is thoughtfully integrated, with extensive cabinetry and in-floor compartments designed for extended cruising.
- The salon is configured for both comfort and entertaining, with a large U-shaped settee, a dining table, and additional pull-out seating to accommodate up to eight guests. A custom-mounted smart TV is positioned opposite the seating area for casual entertainment. New, custom companion lites were installed for better ambiance and lighting options. Air conditioning and fitted window coverings enhance comfort in warmer climates.
- Galley
- The U-shaped galley to port is fully integrated with the main salon, allowing for easy meal preparation and social interaction onboard while underway. Owners completed a full, custom refit to increase the functionality and aesthetic quality of the entire galley. Drimorthiles is now equipped with a new Force 10 three-burner stove and oven, a multi-function microwave / toaster / convection oven / air fryer unit, a deep stainless sink, and multiple refrigeration and freezer units. The main attraction is the built-to-order polished Corian countertops, removing unnecessary fiddles and seams for a smooth finish. This is a galley designed for practical, full-time use rather than occasional weekend sailing.
- Nav Station
- Forward of the galley, the dedicated navigation station provides a proper working area for electronics, communications, and passage planning. This area also benefitted from the Owner’s full salon refit, replacing the factory wood surface with a single piece of high-quality polished Corian countertop.
- Cabins
- Each hull features a mirrored layout with aft and forward double cabins. Every stateroom includes a private ensuite head and shower, generous storage, opening portlights with shades, and a combination of air conditioning and fans for climate control. The result is a layout that supports extended living aboard without compromise.

Deck
- The Lagoon 450F features a three-level deck layout (flybridge, main deck/cockpit, and forward deck) designed for maximum space and social interaction.
- Its defining feature is the elevated aft flybridge helm, which offers 360-degree visibility while keeping the cockpit and lounge areas distinct. All sail handling is managed from the flybridge via electric winches. A large 6-seat bench sits alongside the helm console, paired with twin sunbeds directly in front, allowing guests to gather with the skipper. Two staircases lead up to the flybridge, one from the starboard side deck and one directly from the cockpit.
- The cockpit is on the same level as the salon, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor living space covered by a hardtop bimini. It features a U-shaped bench seat on the port side with a large dining table that can accommodate 8-10 people. A dedicated lounging area is located on the starboard side. The cockpit includes storage lockers, a dedicated gas locker (2 bottles), and a rubbish bin with upper access.
- The stern features a wide transom for easy access to the water, boarding, and stepping into a dinghy. Each hull is molded with stairs to the waterline. In the center are the stainless steel dinghy davits for easy lifting and launching.
- A large forward cockpit/lounge area with recessed seating and sunpads is designed to allow guests to relax and enjoy the breeze. Two upgraded trampoline nets are installed at the bow for lounging and to reduce weight. Large storage lockers are found in the bow (convertible to crew berths), and the windlass and primary anchor are centerline between the trampolines. In the port and starboard corners of the bow are seating areas.
