10/31/2025 Update: ESCAPE was hauled out this week for some maintenance.  The bottom was cleaned and repainted, two new props were installed and three through-hull/sea-cocks where replaced. Last month one of the two AC units was replaced with a new unit.

ESCAPE is located near Annapolis, Maryland. I purchased it four years ago and spent the first year performing some major upgrades, including replacing both fuel tanks and all the fuel lines, upgrading the Yanmar ignition panels for both engines, as well as completely replacing the wiring harness between the helm and the engines.  All-weather enclosures were redesigned and replaced to completely protect the cockpit in foul weather.  The dinghy was also replaced in 2023. In addition, all the cushions in the cockpit have been replaced.  Since these upgrades, I have meticulously maintained and added small upgrades along the way.

The inviting cockpit integrates guests and crew with the view, breezes, and will be a gathering point for many pleasurable meals and sunsetters. The louvered salon windows afford full visibility, while shading the salon from direct sunlight. The sugar-scoop sterns make the clear and refreshing waters easily accessible to guests and crew, while also making fishing a joy and dinghy boarding safe and easy. The dinghy sits on a fixed platform and is super secure and stable in foul weather and rough seas.  In addition, ESCAPE’s safety equipment includes an EPIRB and a Revere 6-person self-inflating life raft.

The helm is functional and efficient, with a commanding 360-degree view of all corners of the boat. It is equipped with a complete Raymarine navigation system having the ACU400, AIS700, and the Auto Pilot drive motor rebuilt by Raymarine within the past year. The Yanmar engine panels at the helm have been upgraded to the C-30 showing both analog and digital engine vitals. The Platismo compass is less than a year old. The twin 40hp engines (trouble-free shaft drive) are controlled by a single lever shift/throttle that can be managed with one hand for cruising or two hands when docking.
