2008 Leopard 46 Owner’s Version – Extensively Upgraded
Numa is a 2008 Leopard 46 Owner’s Version that has had only two owners since new. The original owner commissioned the boat and maintained her exclusively for private use before we purchased her in 2020. For the past six years, she has served as our full-time home and cruising vessel as we explored the U.S. East Coast, Bahamas, and Caribbean while continuously maintaining and upgrading her systems and equipment. Professionally maintained with maintenance records and upgrade history available for review.
The Leopard 46 remains one of the most sought-after cruising catamarans, known for its practical layout, comfortable accommodations, and proven sailing performance. The owner’s version features a dedicated starboard hull with a queen berth, office/vanity area, large head, separate shower, and abundant storage. Two guest cabins occupy the port hull, each with a private head and shower.
Over the past several years we have taken a proactive approach to maintenance, addressing both routine items and major systems before they became issues. Significant recent upgrades include new Yanmar SD60 saildrives, professionally rebedded salon windows, a 450Ah lithium house bank, updated electronics, standing rigging, and new upholstery.
In addition to serving as our home, Numa operated for three winter seasons as a USVI day charter vessel. All charters were owner-captained, professionally maintained, and limited to day use only. The boat was never part of a bareboat charter fleet and has benefited from the continual attention and upkeep required of a vessel operating in a commercial environment.
The boat is being sold with an extensive inventory of cruising equipment, tools, spare parts, and onboard gear accumulated during years of cruising. Included are a Highfield dinghy with Yamaha outboard, two stand-up paddleboards, and an inventory of replacement parts. Personal belongings, artwork, and decorative items will be removed prior to closing.
Numa is currently located in the Long Island Sound. We plan to sail in and around the Sound as well as the Newport area for the summer months. Showings can be arranged by appointment.
