DARE is a 2009 Leopard 46 catamaran offered in a comfortable and highly flexible four‑cabin layout. The Leopard 46 is widely regarded as one of the best all‑round blue water cruiser designs. Developed by Robertson & Caine and introduced in late 2006, more than 160 examples have been built. This model combines a performance‑oriented hull form with fine entry bows for efficient, fast passages while maintaining a stable, comfortable motion underway. Equally capable along the coast or on ocean crossings, the Leopard 46 was designed with safety, ease of maintenance and durability in mind.
Construction is robust: GRP hulls with balsa core provide strength, stiffness and good thermal and acoustic insulation. The model’s exceptional payload capacity and large interior volume allow owners to carry stores and equipment for extended cruising without compromise. A shallow draft of 4 ft 5 in (1.35 m) provides access to shoal anchorages and protected waterways while the wide aft platform and swim platforms give easy access to the water and connect directly to the cockpit. One of the standout features of the Leopard 46 is the excellent connectivity between the helm station, cockpit and saloon, enabling social and practical interaction across the boat while underway or at anchor.
