Rio is a spacious 43 monohull designed by Tim Jackett and built at Tartan Yachts in Painesville, Ohio, USA. Unlike many boat designers, Tim Jackett is an active sailor/racer and has been since he was a kid. He started working for Tartan Yachts out of college and has been there ever since, going on 50 years.
