S/V Peregrine is a Miami based 1994 Richard Woods Design - Heritage Manufacturing 30 Sagitta Stretch For Sale By Owner. This owner requires financial settlement only. No trades.
The Sagitta 33 is a fast, manageable, and genuinely liveable performance catamaran for couples or small crews. A previous owner singlehanded S/V Peregrine across the Atlantic and back to the States after visiting North Africa, the Caribbean, and the Bahamas.
Designed by renowned multihull specialist Richard Woods, the Sagitta combines offshore capability with shallow draught, light displacement, and efficient hulls for comfortable 6–8 knot cruising and double‑digit speeds when pressed. You can read a review of this catamaran in Yachting Monthly in the January 26, 2024 online issue by David Harding: “Good performance and roomy accommodation.” Peregrine, unlike the Sagitta 30 referenced in the Yachting Monthly article, was designed and built as a 33 ft. catamaran. The Sagitta 33 has longer pontoons and the headroom in the main cabin was designed and built higher at 6’2”. These changes were made during production at Heritage Manufacturing near Capetown, South Africa.
She can be optimized for racing or cruising, while the generous 5.95m beam delivers a big cockpit, excellent stability, and very little slamming thanks to a short, high bridgedeck.
Below, the bridgedeck saloon with all‑round view, double berths in each hull, and practical galley/heads layout make it a surprisingly roomy and bright 30‑footer that still feels easy to handle short‑handed. For monohull sailors looking to “step across,” it offers a mix of engaging helm, offshore pedigree, and real cruising comfort in a compact, affordable package.
Peregrine has been sailed in Miami’s Biscayne Bay extensively in the past three years with trips to Key Largo in the Upper Florida Keys.
Please note that we will shortly provide a haul-out at a commercial marina, pressure clean the bottom, apply anti-fouling paint & replace zincs at our expense. The vessel is documented through the U.S. Coast Guard and registered in the State of Florida.
