Salty Kisses is an Axopar 37 XC Cross Cabin that represents a modern approach to adventure boating, combining Scandinavian design, offshore capability, luxury, and versatility in a package equally suited to day cruising or extended island hopping throughout the Caribbean. Whether exploring the U.S. Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands, St. Maarten, Antigua, or the countless secluded anchorages in between, the Axopar 37 XC is built to handle changing conditions with confidence while keeping everyone onboard comfortable.

Unlike a traditional center console, the fully enclosed Cross Cabin offers protection from the Caribbean sun, rain, wind, and sea spray without sacrificing visibility. Expansive panoramic windows provide outstanding sightlines from the helm, while the enclosed, climate-controlled cabin allows you to enjoy the water comfortably in virtually any weather.

At the heart of the Axopar 37 XC is its award-winning twin-stepped deep-V hull. Designed to deliver a smooth, dry ride, it provides exceptional handling, impressive fuel efficiency, and confidence in offshore conditions. The advanced hull design reduces drag while maintaining excellent stability at both cruising and higher speeds, making long passages between islands as enjoyable as short coastal runs.

Powered by twin outboard engines, the Axopar 37 XC delivers exhilarating performance with cruising speeds around 28 to 30 knots and top speeds approaching 56 knots, depending on engine configuration. Combined with a generous fuel capacity, the vessel offers excellent range for exploring distant anchorages and neighboring islands with fewer fuel stops.

Carrying a CE Category B Offshore certification, the Axopar 37 XC is designed for offshore operation in demanding sea conditions, making it well suited for Caribbean cruising where open-water passages and changing weather are part of everyday boating.

Inside, the cabin is bright, modern, and thoughtfully arranged. Premium seating, intuitive helm controls, high-quality finishes, and abundant natural light create an inviting atmosphere. Sliding side doors and a wide aft opening seamlessly connect the cabin and cockpit, creating a spacious entertaining area whether you’re enjoying lunch at anchor, sunset cocktails, or a day underway.

Below deck, comfortable overnight accommodations and a fully enclosed marine head make weekend cruising practical and enjoyable. The optional aft cabin further expands sleeping accommodations for family or guests, allowing the boat to comfortably support extended cruising.

Wide walkaround side decks, oversized boarding doors, integrated handrails, and generous storage make moving around the boat easy whether docking, anchoring, swimming, snorkeling, diving, or simply relaxing at anchor. The foredeck converts into a large sun lounge, while the spacious aft cockpit provides ample room for entertaining or enjoying a quiet evening on the water.

One of the Axopar 37 XC’s greatest strengths is its versatility. It performs equally well as a luxury day boat, weekend cruiser, watersports platform, dive boat, yacht tender, fishing boat, or capable island explorer. Its shallow draft provides access to beaches and anchorages beyond the reach of larger yachts, while its offshore capability inspires confidence when venturing farther afield.

Recognized around the world for its innovative design, exceptional build quality, and impressive performance, the Axopar 37 XC has earned a reputation as one of the most respected adventure boats in its class. Salty Kisses is an outstanding example, offering the rare combination of speed, comfort, efficiency, and all-weather protection in a vessel that’s equally at home tied up at the marina or exploring the islands beyond the horizon.

Ocean Peterson

By Ocean Peterson

Ocean Petersen was born on the classic wooden yacht Catania, on the island of Tahiti in the South Pacific. The Petersen family was in the process of circumnavigating the globe. They continued their exploration of the South and North Pacific, until they settled for eight years on a deserted atoll in the Marshall Islands. While there, his parent’s interest in marine biology led them to develop an aquaculture farm cultivating giant clams. During Ocean’s years on the clam farm, he occupied his time by mastering all the water sports available to him. When he was eight, Ocean and his parents continued sailing through Micronesia, the Philippines, Borneo, Malaysia and eventually Thailand. After crossing the Indian ocean to Africa, via the Maldives and the Seychelles islands . When Catania arrived in the Caribbean after crossing the Atlantic Ocean left his home of 18 years to pursue his own life and career as a captain. At 17 he qualified for his 100 Ton US Coast Guard Captain’s License. Now Ocean captains charter yachts around the US and British Virgin Islands. After working closely with surveyors, and having a passion for yachting, he loves finding his clients the perfect boat so they can live their dreams as well.
