S/V Ti-Bag is a Lvingston, Guatemala based 1997 Naval Force 3 Tropic 56 For Sale By Broker. Responses to inquiries may come from a broker who is representing the owner as a fiduciary. This owner requires financial settlement only. No trades.
The Tropic 56 TI-BAG offers a rare combination of blue-water capability, significant waterline length (LOA 55 feet), lightweight construction, and good looks at a very modest price. This is a simple and efficient sailor’s cat with sleek hulls that beckon passage making. It was built by the La Rochelle, France yard Naval Force 3, known for its wood-epoxy construction. The decks, coach roof, and topsides are wood-epoxy, while everything below the waterline is fiberglass (GRP) construction—an excellent combination for light weight, stiffness, and durability.
The interior is laid out in a three-cabin owner version. The owner hull is to starboard with a large queen bunk aft and an expansive en-suite bath forward. Two guest cabins are to port with a bath. The interior is clean and luminous, features elegant wood finishes, and is easy to maintain.
A simple, easy-to-handle rig makes the boat suitable for single-handing or short-handed sailing.
Twin engines with sail drives provide excellent performance under power.
If you are a cruiser who prioritizes light weight and waterline length for sailing performance, this is your cat. Amenities are smart and simple and require minimal electrical power. Multiple charging sources provide reliable, quiet electrical power.
The liveaboard owners have sailed her throughout the Caribbean and to the South Pacific on a 20-year odyssey of total enchantment. The owners made the deliberate choice for light weight, a simple sail plan, and low power consumption. It is an affordable, sober approach that keeps you on the water for years.
